National clinical trials impact

In 2022, 1,850 trials were started in Australia, employing approximately 7,700 Australians and involving approximately 90,000 Australians as trial participants.

This activity saw approximately $1.6 billion spent on clinical trials, up from approximately $1.4 billion in 2019.
